after hours spent sitting on I-beams during a summer backpacking trip, d’amico and stone decided that there had to be a way to make their treks more comfortable. this sparked the concept of the pac back, a start-up with the mission of producing high quality, multipurpose outdoor products that encourage consumers to explore the outdoors without compromising comfort. their first product, the patent pending pac back trio, will be released on kickstarter on november 14, 2017.

the founders hope to raise enough capital on kickstarter to fund a production run that will let them share this versatile, comfortable, and lightweight product with the entire outdoors community. ‘pac’ represents lily and john’s roots in the pacific northwest and ‘back’ refers to their love of backpacking. pac back strives to create gear that inspires everyone to get outside and enjoy with friends and family while cultivating a culture of environmental stewardship.
