bearing her hallmark aesthetic, patricia urquiola‘s ‘foliage’ sofa designed for italian furniture brand kartell presents natural imagery and realities rendered artificially. the seat itself is formed from a polyurethane foam padding that is covered with a quilted elastic fabric that is embellished with a top-stitched embroidery leaf pattern that spans over the entire surface of the sofa seat. this mass of graphic leaves rests upon four round legs — a frame of ‘branches’ that are made from batch dyed technopolymer thermoplastic. overall, the unit measures L185 x H90 x D90cm.

‘foliage’ is available in a range of color combinations: acid green fabric, red frame; black fabric, cream frame; cream fabric, acid green frame; green fabric, black frame; petrol blue fabric, hazelnut frame; red fabric, cream frame; sand fabric, cream frame; sugar bag blue fabric, red frame.
