‘lilo’, the first of patricia urquiola’s products for moroso’s 2015 collection, references the great modernist scandinavian designers of the 1950s. the classic frame is revised into a modern armchair featuring comfortable finishes, with a rugged wood structure that holds the weight of the bold upholstery that is positioned according to ergonomics; ensuring ideal support for every part of the body. the slight incline of the back, followed by the elongated shape of the armrests accompanies the resting, almost prone position.

urquiola’s second design for the italian company’s 2015 product line is ‘bold’, a sofa with a simple, balanced and functional elegance. the seating piece draws attention to the value of the upholstery used, highlighting the quality of the finishes and details. together with moroso, urquiola has created a design in which the soft textile thins out towards the edges, whereby stitching is then used to accentuate the distinguishing features of ‘bold’.
