rather than going the conventional route of promoting patrick norguet‘s ‘degree’ stool, the team at italian furniture brand kristalia decided instead to send the seating object around europe to be captured by famous photographers in locations of their choosing. in this first iteration of the project,  johan bergström (sweden), jos kraaijeveld (the netherlands) and pascal fellonneau (france)all of who question and explore the landscape on different degrees through their work, were selected to interpret the stool in their own personal way.

capturing the interaction between man and environment, dutch photographer jos kraaijeveld has selected a rural, industrial environment – with a factory and wind turbines – as his backdrop for norguet’s stool, bringing forth questions of why people use their environment  the way they do.
