paul kweton teaches children how to tell the time

Architect and designer Paul Kweton of Studio PAULBAUT continues his exploration of unusual timepieces with his most recent conception, the Donut Watch. The quirky creation — a hybrid between a wrist watch and a donut-themed accessory — is conceived as a fun and engaging way to help children learn how to tell time. Vibrant and playful, the watches are available in a range of bold colors that perfectly emulate a delicious, sprinkle-topped donut with a bite taken out of it.

a delicious hybrid between a wrist watch and a donut

Designed to spark conversation and playfully teach children the ways of timekeeping, Paul Kweton’s Donut Watches come in various colors and patterns to suit the sensibilities of their wearers. With a spark of novelty, the frosting colors range from pastels to neons, while the sprinkle toppings are available in various forms such as hearts, snowflakes, and circles.

The recent collection follows on from the designer’s continuous exploration of novel timepieces. The Night & Day wristwatch similarly was created to help children to differentiate between the concepts of night and day while also teaching them to tell time. The concept prototypes feature vibrant illustrations and utilize two dials that each represent the different times of day.
