Much as its names suggests, Pedrali‘s friendly and welcoming collection, Buddy, grows and expands with the introduction of Buddyhub Desk. The Italian Brand’s latest addition sets the working scene with flexible solutions in a variety of colors and compositions. First introduced in 2017, Busetti Garuti Redaelli’s family of furniture stays true to versatility, efficiency and lightweight frames as it continues to elevate the combination of comfort and function.

In line with the latest trends for office spaces and with the wellbeing of workers in mind, Pedrali‘s Buddyhub Desk recalls the collection’s friendly spirit. Designed by Busetti Garuti Redaelli, the 2022 functional and efficient workstation enables users to concentrate and isolate in various compositions, sizes and colors. In addition, with the option to customize the desk with a cable management unit, a steel coat hanger or a magazine holder, Buddy continues to inspire personalization.

the 2022 addition ensures flexible yet intimate working

Buddyhub Desk features a perimeter sound-absorbing panel that embraces a solid laminate top, creating a sort of enclosed niche that ensures acoustic and visual privacy. The module can be configured as a temporary workstation in varied sizes with the top measuring 82×59 cm and 90 cm in height. The specific measurements ensure a comfortable, intimate setting that can aids informal work needs or calls, in both standing or sitting positions. A pop-up socket can be provided upon request to also facilitate computer or phone work.

Due to its structure and modular design, the product can be combined with other Buddyhub Desks or even with lounge seats from the same collection, to partition open spaces and create collaborative and meeting areas. The panel is supported by slender lightweight frame that raises it off the ground and lightens its overall appearance, promoting functionality that makes cleaning and maintenance operations easier. To increase the versatility of this element, a variety of accessories can be added such as steel coat hangers or magazine holders powder-coated in a variety of colors.

Soft lines and clean design feature the pouf and the tables of Buddy, first introduced in 2017. The rounded shape of the pouf with a generous and comfortable upholstery is supported by four thin and rigorous legs, which make the product extremely functional while they visually lift the volume from the ground. The coffee tables follow the same frame and match squared tops with rounded corners in line with the design of the family.

In 2018, new elements enhance the collection’s versatile nature. Buddy gains its backrest version, featured by a contrast between the bold volumes of the seat complemented by its slender, lightweight frame. The collection comprises a chair, a two-seat bench and a chaise-longue with generous backrests, combined with softly upholstered poufs. Each of the poufs and backrests is available in two heights, allowing for multiple arrangements that match the different needs of contemporary and multipurpose spaces, whether a relaxation area or an airport lounge, or even latest-generation co-working spaces. For added ease, a turning tablet can also be implemented.

A two and three-seater Buddy sofa expands Pedrali’s collection in 2019. Designed for the living room at home, but equally suitable for waiting rooms, informal office meetings, or lounge areas in the contract and hospitality sector, the product continues to reflect Pedrali’s friendly spirit. Thanks to a combination of four different densities of polyurethane foam supported by elastic belts, further comfort and softness are added for any domestic environment. Flexibility is enhanced here as the sofa comes with or without armrests, with several seating module configurations.

Year 2020 elevated work places, whether at home or at the office and as a result, Buddyhub was developed in line with the latest working trends. The product was introduced as an isolated alcove that encourages concentration and ensures acoustic and visual privacy as a wrap-around, sound absorbing panel envelops the seat, much like a niche. Buddyhub is available as an armchair or sofa and can be configured by placing two units opposite each other that can be joined by means of a panel to which a table can be attached. This way, an informal meeting space or break out area can be created.

At Orgatec fair 2022, Buddyhub is presented with a lower sound absorbing panel in order to allow more privacy also within lounge areas. The functionality of this element is further enhanced by the possibility of adding sockets both to the armchair and box versions, so as to be able to connect a charger and install a screen holder. The rounded shapes and bold volumes of the seat and backrest are supported by the slender lightweight frame that raises the volume off the ground, lightening its overall appearance and making cleaning and maintenance operations easier.
