the ‘companion stool’ series by phillip grass has a poetic and humoristic touch evoked by the form of anthropomorphic characters. the aim is for the furniture to have an influential impact on the viewer and user, providing them with a friend in the comfort of their living room that can keep them company. aside from their original function, they can also be used as an extra chair and a small table, as well as a piece of art.
