‘kim possible’s’ interiors and landscapes re-imagined in 3d renders

Designer Zina Baker re-imagines Dr. Drakken’s lair interiors from the ‘Kim possible’ cartoon in a series of photorealistic illustrations. Released in 2002, the fan-favorite animated series depicted unique concept art and architecture. Lead art director Alan Bodner and supporting artists drew reference from 50s and 60s aesthetics to design interior spaces, home decorative objects, and graphic posters in abstract shapes and colors. The 2D animated spaces are re-imagined in 3D photorealistic dreamscapes.

Dr. Drakken’s lair sports extravagant 50’s + 60’s interior design

More specifically, the designer chose Dr. Drakken’s lair, as Kim Possible’s villain followed a very particular style for his hideaway. The selected scenes show the character’s living area, bedroom, study, and fireplace, as well as a distant shot of his house.‘Villains in tv series and films have the most extravagantly designed lairs’, the artist shared. Revisiting the cartoon and childhood imagery led to the interiors’ photorealistic 3D renders.
