bury yourself this summer in this pink coffin pool float

remember last summer when your instagram feed was full of giant swan pool floats? well, brace yourself as this year brings a new addition to the pool toy family — a millennial pink coffin float. created by pom pom floats — a collaboration between designers andrew greenbaum and ian felton — the pink coffin has been designed with humor in mind, resulting in a functional art piece for your outdoor pool area.

the pom pom floats project started three years ago when greenbaum and felton defined their work using four words: fun, nonchalant, satirical, and strange. once they found a manufacturer that could bring the pink coffin float to life, they decided to pull the trigger and created a successful expectation campaign on social media with a prototype. now that the whole world is aware of their product and eager to put their hands on one, they have launched today a kickstarter campaign.

hurry up and pledge US$120 to get one full-size inflatable pink coffin. feeling generous? for US$399 you can get the limited edition clear or gold colorway. feeling antisocial? don’t worry, just close the lid and forget about everything else.

  • Hello
Can you tell me how I can order both black and pink coffin floats. Thanks.

    Honor Carlton
  • Dear Pom Pom,
We are a funeral home based on the island of Curacao the Dutch Caribbean.
We would like to order 10x of the coffin floats.
Do you have them in the color of lavender? Can you print our logo on it?
You can check out our website: http://www.eltributo.cw
Hope to hear from you soon.
    Best regards,
    Mila

  • I find this whole thing offensive – not because of the morbid subject but because of the use of plastic in a situation which is all about biodegrading. Surely everyone now knows that plastic is not a suitable material for biodegradable use. Especially for a product destined for the sea of all places! And its hideous. This project is a 100% disaster
