american designer colleen jordan has developed ‘bike planter’, a miniature, portable flower pot formed to affix to one’s bike frame in order to smoothly travel with plants in tow. the concept for the piece was formulated after jordan considered the car planters of the new generation volkswagen beetles and hoped to create a bicycle counterpart. the design was devised and produced by means of digital modeling software which was then printed in nylon and is both hand dyed and sealed in its completed form. the 2.3” tall, 1.4” wide, and 1” deep 3D printed pots attach to the frame of a bicycle with an elastic cord, securing the plant to the post.
