during milan design week 2014,  moooi presented dutch designer bertjan pot‘s ‘prop light’ at its ‘unexpected welcome’ exhibition, a 1700 square meter space transformed into a vibrant living quarters and product display. conceived as a flexible solution for illuminating any interior, the lighting system can be propped up against a wall, suspended from a ceiling or placed on the floor. each individual piece from within the collection is equipped with a warm LED source, which disperses light using a specially developed optic lenses.

‘we have round lights, we have straight lights. we have them with lights on one side, we have them with lights on two sides. you can hang them high, low, horizontally, vertically or even hang them in an angle. put them on the floor, hang them on your wall or down from the ceiling. we find it very hard to imagine an interior where this prop is not in place.’  – bertjan pot
