new york based designer pryor callaway has created ‘synapses’, a suspended installation that transmits lightness, chaos, and growth through a series of complex linear forms. composed of unique hand-assembled geometric forms that intertwine, the piece conveys a sense of fragile and electric growth.

2,000 black plastic cocktail straws hang from the ceiling and walls to create the sculpture that has an overall feeling of lightness. each individual composition is made of seven to eight straws that have been cinched together by hand and then twisted into a dynamic, three-dimensional shape.
