‘pugg’ by skrekkøgle

norwegian duo from skrekkøgle have developed ‘plugg’ – a prototype DAB radio, a result of exploring physical and metaphorical interactions with digital devices. the brightly colored geometric box form houses a maze of electronics allowing the radio to switch on and off based on removal of the cork covering the speaker. the concept introduces a new relationship not only to an object with an ingrained approach to interaction, but to sound itself – offering a tangible interaction usually associated to the realm of food.
