oskar kohnen and fabian freytag of berlin-based furniture studio rakso naibaf have created ‘parapluie table’. the piece combines the function of a versatile surface area with the form of an umbrella — an ode to the absurdity of the everyday. the steel foot adds weight to the plywood table top, but the form is meant to look fragile, adding visual tension. designed and made in germany, the stand measures 45 x 45 x 52 cm (18 x 18 x 20 inches).
