recession design

image: max rommelwhile the economic crisis did have an impact on the design world, a group of young designers took the opportunity to explore extremely low cost, do-it-yourself design projects. their latest collection of designs took shape around the theme of ‘not at home’ including objects for schools, offices and the outdoors. rather than designing and building each project, the goal of recession design is to create designs that can be made using common goods and assembled by their owners. each design comes with the materials needed and a set of simple instructions.
