developed in collaboration with yeongkeun jeong, san francisco-based designer areum jeong has devised a clever storage system that wraps around one’s bicycle frame with little more than two buckles. unlike existing bike accessories with one purpose, the multi-use addition can contain and transport goods such as sports equipment, groceries or the everyday essentials. entitled ‘reel’, the elastic contraption is organized via sticky rubber dividers, which ensures proper spacing for installation. the concept allows users to customize patterns and different wraps, each adapting to different frames and sizes.

  • now that is clever, although would be great if it was an off the shelf thing that you could just velcro strap on, looks complicated and time consuming to fit, also water, dirt and heavy objects would conspire to remove the rubber dots fairly quickly – if indeed you were happy about sticking those all over your bike.
