‘trapezium’ is a lighting object for interior use by berlin-based designer robert hoffmann. the overall form of the pendant lamp is made-up of two identically folded trapezoidal metal sheets which when viewed from below, form the outline of a hexagon. the sheets are connected by a thin bar which also functions as the carrier for the suspension and illuminant.

overall, ‘trapezium’ takes on somewhat of a cone shape. light pushes outwards through the shade’s lateral gaps, between the metal sheet halves, resulting in luminous thin streaks being projected onto surrounding walls.

materials used for production are either powdered coated aluminum, steel or brass. the lights are available in two sizes measuring 160 x 400mm or 220 x 600mm.
