during the 2014 edition of art basel miami beach, acclaimed shoe designer bruno frisoni presented an exclusive handbag, luxuriously named ‘miss viv’ l’arcobaleno’. french luxury house roger vivier held a private luncheon hosted by model and fashion maven ines de la fressange to celebrate the limited edition piece and its muse, ambra medda — former founding director of design miami/ who has now gone on to co-found online design store l’arcobaleno.

the ultra-glamorous miss viv’ bag was born in 2009 dedicated to france’s then first lady carla bruni-sarkozy, and each year its design continues to evolve. on display in tall glass pedestals around the EDITION’s matador bar — the ‘miss viv’ l’arcobaleno’ bag visually links to medda’s l’arcobaleno digital retail space; the word ‘l’arcobaleno’ in italian meaning ‘the rainbow’, which is reflected in its aesthetic through a glittering gradient of vibrantly colored sequins. at the event, guests were offered bespoke, illustrated cookies and folding paper fans that flashed a drawing by frisoni depicting himself, de la fressange and medda. the interior décor of the venue had been designed to reflect the ‘miss viv’ l’arcobaleno’ purse, with tonally similar throw pillows scattered around the room and a matching DJ booth.

amongst the glamorous guests were french art collector and philanthropist jean pigozzi, actress freida pinto, designer edward barber, tod’s ceo & president diego della valle, nadja swarovski, mia moretti and livia firth.
