french brothers and designers ronan and erwan bouroullec have created a collection of necklaces for the galerie kreo in paris. entitled ‘perles’, the handcrafted pieces of jewellery are made from blood jasper, black onyx and carrara marble in matte or glossy finishes. ‘pearls have a quite logical place within our work; a simple module that can be repeated to create a new setting,‘ say the bouroullec brothers. available in three different sizes, the series relates to the designers’ fascination with primitive jewellery, ‘something direct but searching as well for delicacy in its fall and the relation to the body.’
