elaborating on their ‘quilt’ series for british design and manufacturing company established & sons, the french design duo of ronan and erwan bouroullec introduce a new colorway for the seating designs. the honeycomb-like upholstery made from hi-tech stretch fabric, stuffed with individual foam inserts fits over the chair or sofa’s fibreglass structure. the mathematical patchwork aesthetic in combination with this new color blend of grey and red, is reminiscent of popular comic book superheroes and their sometimes chameleonic skin.
