rubelli makes a colorful, geometrically sequenced splash at home with the in&outdoor collection of fine fabrics. the designs preserve the typical characteristics of the venetian brand’s interior textiles – beauty, comfort and sophistication – but steps into nature. in similar style, these high-performing fabrics now adorn exterior furnishings and accessories, from residential sun-loungers to even soft seating at poolside bars in hotels and restaurants.

we offer a definitely wide collection of textiles that include, alongside precious silks, colorful prints and sustainable fabrics, the latest generations of high-performing and easy-care fabrics, ideal for any use and purpose. during the past few years we have dedicated a particular research to develop in&out fabrics as we assist to an increasing demand from the international market. this is probably due to a combination of factors: global warming and now the pandemic – or possibly it is just a trend where the indoor and outdoor are longer separate dimensions but hybridized into one. we already offer an extensive choice of in&outdoor fabrics, textures in particular. in addition to the existing collections, we are developing a new range to be launched in january 2022,explains as nicolo favaretto rubelli, rubelli group CEO.

five designs – pitagora, euclide, archimede, talete and eureka – diversify the collection

as well as the high performance attributed to the textile manufacturer – exceptional wear resistance, washability and fire resistance – rubelli’s in&outdoor collection reveals a rich, vivid depth of color and geometry. the fabrics’ patterns are influenced by historic yet playful motifs that aim to coordinate with existing ranges, such as diecielode, twilltwenty, tenstripe, velvety, terry, crochet and intreccio. although appearing as standout items, the collection has been designed as a set in which each fabric can interact. varying rigidity or curvature, the new geometries create pleasing hybrids that accentuate interior spaces. five designs – pitagora, euclide, archimede, talete and eureka – are the protagonists.

influenced by the shape of a mycenaen shield, pitagora pairs an embossed pattern with contemporary colors

pitagora, an elegant, reversible jacquard weave, explores a mix of archetypal and new, original geometric patterns. an embossed mycenaean shield-inspired motif is bathed in contemporary colors that evoke a chiaroscuro effect with contrasting light and shadow. available in five tones, the design’s raised pattern is as pleasing on the eye as it is to touch.

similar to moorish tiles, euclide appears with an infinite sequence of small, square, single-color bubbles

an ordered chaos governs the contemporary euclide jacquard. influenced by moorish tiles, an infinite sequence of small, square, single-color bubbles move synchronously in an imaginatively geometric formation. the fabric is available in six color options: luminous and bright in the pairings white/yellow, white/red, white/green queen, and contemporary in the sand/black, black/white and blue/aquamarine.

creating a vintage aesthetic, elegant yet bold 1960s patterns adorn archimede

a vintage vibe resonates from the archimede jacquard. its elegant patterns were born from the elaborate shapes and style trends of costume jewelry and accessories from the 1960s. these are reminiscent of paco rabanne’s unwearable dresses and the daring qualities they adorned. finished with a raised effect, the fabric is available in five color variations, each one played out in three colors.

the frequency of talete’s simple shapes create majestic, marble-like covers
(pictured here with the euclide fabric with the talete, tenstripe, twilltwenty and intreccio textiles)

carpets of marble and mosaic shape the talete jacquard. the archetypal geometrics of the marble inlays, typical of floors found in majestic medieval italian churches and basilicas, inspire the textile’s design. the results are masterpieces of embellished simplicity. two small patterns – a sphere and a sinuous shape – occupy and compete for the same space, lending to an ornamental expression in six available colors.

with an interplay of different colors, eureka experiments as if an artisan fabric
(pictured here with the eureka, euclide and archimede fabrics with the tenstripe and diecielode textiles)

creating a deliberately uneven fabric, eureka is a full body, textural exploration. its basis was a prototype of a handmade multi-color weave produced in the venetian brand’s very own design studio. the result has the beauty and preciousness of an artisan fabric, where different colors interestingly interact, especially with outdoor tones. twelve versions are split in half: six in two colors on a white background, and the remaining six sit upon more variegated multi-color weaves.
