defined by their fluid and organic shapes, the ‘evoke’ collection is a series of eating tools created by sarah-linda forrer. crafted from a mixture of stoneware and porcelain, the pieces challenge the conventional methods of eating using a fork, knife and plate. ‘in a world where the food system is so complicated that I no longer know where my food comes from and how it is produced, I feel the longing for a new relationship with what we eat.’ explains the designer.

not classed as cutlery nor plates, these tools evoke in us a more intuitive way of consuming food

the pieces are characterized by their delicate form which is embellished with a slightly mottled surface on one side and smooth on the other. produced as a family of shapes and sizes, they provide a palette for food presentation and stipulates a more intuitive way and value to eating, ‘they transform the act of eating into a moment of full attention, gratefulness and pleasure.’

the ‘evoke’ collection is still in development and is currently seeking funding through a campaign an online campaign.
