the ‘perfect cut’ by shih-yen lo is a collection of multi-purpose utility knives designed specifically for inexperienced users. while most of us had freshmen year and an x-acto; ‘perfect cut’ puts a series of eight unique units in newcomers hands. each is minutely adjustable and capable of producing cuts anywhere on the spectrum from I could do this blindfolded, to I bought an extra 30 sheets just in case. the product line includes angled cutter and slider, snap off blade, roto-cutters with guide, circular cutter with raised platform, and two extendable rulers. the various tools are able to cut materials like cardboard, leather, cloth, and everyones’ favorite, foam core. 

the angle slider can be adjusted for various cuts; with a snap off blade, the depth can also be controlled 

both the snap off blade and scalpel can be fitted to the angle slider

the angle slider allows for precise cutting: 90° to 45° at 5° cut intervals  

circular cutter, capable of radiuses between 3 and 20 cm

a center pad protects materials from damage from the tip of circle cutter

two rulers can be attached to the center pad for a perfect right angle 

rulers are connectable for extensions 

the snap off blade, scalpel, and rotary cutter can be attached to the vertical slider 

the vertical slider helps keep the blade perpendicular to the surface for free handed cutting 

cut depth is adjustable, and ambidextrous 

the integrated ruler keeps the tool vertical, and acts as a guide for parallel and offset slices
