with the ‘polaris’ watch, jaeger-lecoultre introduces a new collection to the brand’s existing pillars of tradition, attention to detail, and high manufacturing expertise. the timepiece was influenced by the ‘memovox polaris’ from 1968 and although it captures the same spirit, it applies it to a modern lifestyle. first shown at the SIHH geneve 2018, the result is a contemporary, sporty yet elegant watch that conveys a vintage essence.

the jaegar-lecoultre’s ‘polaris’ collection comprises of a three-hand automatic, chronograph, and a chronograph world time model, as well the ‘polaris date’ and ‘polaris memovox’ editions, which offer an even more vintage feel. on top of its sporty elegance, the grande maison’s watchmaking know-how delivers in-house-made mechanical movement with robustness and design aesthetic. its defining calibre is celebrated by its exhibition back, where the intricate engineering can be witnessed.

the timepiece’s dial architecture is distinctive with its configuration of three concentric circles: a memovox polaris-inspired center with a sunray finish, graining on the outer circle with the hours and minutes, and an opaline finish on the rotating inner bezel. beneath the brand’s logo and at the watch face’s center, the large hands are filled with super-luminova™ to offer excellent visibility in low light. additionally, the newly designed three-link metal bracelet can be interchanged with straps made from alligator and calfskin leather.
