make mistakes pancil, paper and clipboard by simon cheadle

make mistakes is an ongoing and interactive project by simon cheadle that explores the importance of mistakes in the creative process.

drawing tools that generate mistakes were designed and used to reinterpret objects and ideas that are considered perfect. by then printing and manufacturing the results, these notions of perfection are pushed back into the realm of creativity and the imperfections of the object are celebrated.

  • surely mistakes with regards to drawing tools are a result of somebody using it incorrectly; these objects don\’t facilitate mistakes, the mark making has a predetermined outcome like any other drawing tool.
