Extending beyond monotonous furniture design and injecting a sense of vivid energy into the home, Shanghai-based design studio 8877 Interiors & Deco has created the Leaves Sofa. Evoking bold, minimalist, and organic forms, the piece is composed of a continuous rounded seat form that nestles the sitter within and perches atop an inverted crescent base. Across the seating section, a vibrant repeated pattern unfolds, formed by the positive and negative imprints of leaf elements through a sequence of horizontal, vertical, and mirrored elements.

The design team at 8877 Interiors & Deco has continually experimented with vibrant functional décor pieces for the home, enlivening spaces with bright pops of color and artistic visual effects. From its Cloud and Puzzle Cabinets to its Circle D Chair and Waves Lamp, the design studio’s collections are defined by undulating forms and playful monochrome expressions that inject a sense of flowing movement into static furniture pieces.

The Leaves Sofa similarly is comprised of simple curving elements, bright hues of red and blue, and a repeated symmetrical pattern of basic elements extracted from nature and expressed in a geometric format, creating a dynamic effect in the space in which it sits.
