masayoshi oya and kazuaki hibino of swedish studio YOIN have designed the ‘siten’ series of ceramic lamps. three different types of luminaries — a pendant lamp, a floor lamp with a wooden plate and a candle holder with a leather handle — bear ceramic shades colored with gradation glazes, available in both matte and glossy finishes. the japanese name of the lamp means ‘perspective’ as the designers describe, ‘it explains a process itself. when you change your perspective, even just a simple ceramic cup gets a different value.’.
