snow peak is a japanese manufacturer founded in 1958 by yukio yamai. the company is specialized in camping and hiking goods and its collection contains clothing and gear.

hozuki in chinese means physalis — a plant that inspired the original chinese paper lantern. celebrating the traditions of china, but following the current technologies in the meantime, the mini hozuki offers various light modes.

the mini hozuki lantern has a magnetic loop which lets you hang the lantern, and a silicone shade to soften the light. it can not only be used outside, but inside as well, serving as a reading light or accompanying your romantic dinner with the candle-like tone.

powered by three AAA batteries, the box has an orange power button and a hook to be hung on your pocket. the lapel torch is very useful for a hike with a lot of equipment you have to carry in your hands, or for fishing while your hands are busy baiting or holding the rod.
