Peter Minsoub Sim and Souper Studio design Souper Connect

Souper Connect, designed by Peter Minsoub Sim and developed by Souper Studio, presents a modular human-shaped block that provides countless means of interconnection, emphasizing the importance of interdependence. Its form encourages collaboration and imaginative play, serving as a tangible reminder of our collective strength. Recognized by the 2023 Design Intelligence Awards and picked as a ‘Project We Love’ by Kickstarter, Souper Connect offers a minimalist design that sparks creativity and brings out the inner building engineer in all of us.

The block’s octagonal geometry allows for versatile connections, enabling users to explore various building possibilities. Limbs easily slot into the body, creating a satisfying fit and expanding the potential for construction. Whether you’re 3 years old or 101, Souper Connect offers an engaging experience for all ages.

Modular Human-Shaped Block Celebrates Collective Strength

In addition to its standard plastic form, Souper Connect is also available in a limited edition crafted from precision-milled aluminum, catering to those seeking a unique and special object. Conceived and developed by Peter Minsoub Sim, Souper Connect reflects his belief in the significance of tangible objects in grounding individuals in the physical world.

Through meticulous design iterations and testing, Sim fine-tuned Souper Connect to maximize its versatility and usability. Based in Brooklyn, NY, Sim was involved in every aspect of the design process, from initial sketches to fabricating and testing injection mold prototypes.

Souper Studio, co-founded by Andrew Longo, Blanca Codina, Peter Minsoub Sim, and Mara Zimmerman, serves as a collaborative platform for designers to bring their innovative ideas to life. Born out of a shared mission to stay connected to the physical world through everyday objects, Souper Studio empowers designers to transform their concepts into tangible products.

Souper Connect is launched through Kickstarter, see more here.
