the ‘cook series’ by sovrappensiero design studio for mamoli is a range of flexible taps for the kitchen. presented during milan design week 2014, the series responds to challenges found in this evolving space at the center of the home, where multiple interactions now take place. the classical faucet has been reworked in order to create a device that stimulates a sense of creativity to help bring people together. investigating the relationship between industrial taps and the act of cooking, the product has a strong focus towards sustainability.

an eco-friendly cartridge is installed to limit capacity and temperature, ensuring that over time there will minimal waste of resources, while still enabling fluid movements. a single-lever mixer is used with a brightly colored silicone hose that can be repositioned due to an integrated magnetic force. the ‘cook’ reinterprets flexible spring taps for industrial kitchens, bringing them into the home environment.
