with their refreshing mix of high fashion, sport and street culture, the danish brand invited visitors into a ‘work-in-process’ design lab for this year’s copenhagen fashion week. to unfold this idea, spacon & X has created an on-site mood board that combines raw building materials such as, MDF, concrete, stretch metal, pinewood poles and brick-blocks, with wood wood‘s own fashion matrix. this material palette sets an overall visual language for the rest of the scene where cubic boxes of concrete, coloured and perforated MDF work as sculptural foundations for the clothes racks and display furniture.

the final outcome is a block-and-pole system that creates a flexible, modular design with various heights and display options. this makes its easy to fit the needs of the showcase and adaptable for the following seasons and locations. to contrast the roughness and functional expression in the material selection, spacon & X has added hand-painted rocks, glass-sheets and mirrored steel to contribute to a more exclusive look. furthermore, tactility and softness evolve through colored ever-roll rubber floor that depicts a colorful landscape of islands at the stand.
