stone island’s thermo-sensitive ice knitwear collection changes color in cold weather
the outer face is made in an exclusive thermo-sensitive yarn that changes color when exposed to cold, while the inner one is in wool.
clothing giant stone island introduces its latest research experiment-turned thermo-sensitive knitwear. the signature ‘ice’ collection is created with a double knit construction: the outer face is made in an exclusive thermo-sensitive yarn that drastically changes color when exposed to cold, while the inner one is in pure wool.

when exposed to cold temperatures, stone island’s ‘ice’ series radically changes colors, creating unique three-dimensional effects and constantly shifting shades. these shades range from yellow to orange, from emerald to military green and from ivory to anthracite. the thermal ‘ice’ collection is exclusively made in italy in extremely limited quantities, and is only available from september 11th to september 13th.
