taiwanese designer sheng-hui hsu has created a series of pencil sharpeners that take on the aesthetic of pebbles. this smooth round body sharpener can also double as a paperweight.

both the pencil sharpener and candle holder were showcased in designboom’s ‘asia now‘ exhibition at dwell on design in los angeles.

these shallow bowls are made from epoxy putty mixed with gravel. they feature an embedded groove for the placement of candles.
