german designer johannes hemann exhibited ‘mitbringsel’ with stolen wood at our 2006 designboom mart new york. this year, hemann has been very busy producing his new series of works which are forms generated by storms. these pieces are not generated by the destructive forces of the winds, but energy-generating ones, as seen in sand dunes or snow drifts. his process creates random forms where no two pieces can be the same.
