the ‘samsara cosmic’ series by avni sejpal of studio avni is collection of sculptural interior lighting elements. handcrafted with methods such as lathing, the eclectic group brings new light to simple materials like cork, rubber, and brass. modeled after the bold geometry typically associated with cosmic bodies and the italian memphis group, each rendition has horizontal bands that mean birth, life, death, and after life, respectively. ‘cosmos mini’, ‘cosmic rings’, ‘lighthouse cosmos’, ‘lateral cosmos’, and ‘pedestal’ are sized between 20cm-50cm’s and are made by skilled artisans.
