UK-based family were approached by icon magazine to contribute towards their monthly feature ‘rethink’, a concept that proposes an update to things that have been poorly designed, or problems that need resolving. in response, the multi-disciplinary design studio has re-branded the holy bible with an intuitive iPhone app. ‘our approach focused on taking how the bible currently stands as piece of content-heavy printed literature and transforming it into an accessible online app, available to download and carry with you everywhere,’ explains family. ‘we decided to create a series of icons, which summarized each internal book, these would then be used as simple indexing system allowing the user to explore its contents easily.’
