studio glithero present their collection ‘les french’ at gallery fumi, london. divided into two parts, the london-based creatives first developed ad-hoc configurations of bamboo, binding the joints with wound string. those frames were then sent to a bronze foundry and through a process of loss material casting, the fragile and unlikely structures were transformed to solid and permanent casts.

with no predetermined idea in mind, the designers sketched the upper volumes in cardboard like a family of unique characters fitting the bronze bases. these became guidelines to a lightweight fabrication in gum-paper strips, underlining the friction in permanence between the top and bottom portion.
