introducing Antimatière by studio haos
In their most recent body work, Antimatière, Lisbon-based duo Sophie Gelinet and Cédric Gepner from Studio HAOS explores concerns of our era by carving a singular path, away from both mechanized mass production and opulent craftsmanship, introducing eight pieces employing just two materials, 40×40 aluminum tubes and zinc sheets. Antimatiere premiered during the inaugural edition of the design festival CONTRIBUTIONS, held in Paris from October 16-22, 2023.

pairing aluminum and zinc to compose eight furniture pieces
The aluminum and zinc Antimatière furniture collection features an armchair, a bench, a coffee table, a Console, a DayBed, a table, and a vase. Sophie Gelinet and Cédric Gepner never had any formal training in furniture design. It is a shared passion that led the couple to create a first lamp, which became the basis for a collection, and in turn led to the creation of Studio HAOS in 2017. Now based in Lisbon, they design and manufacture furniture and lighting. Studio HAOS (see more here) presents their work in galleries across Paris, New York, London, Seoul and Antwerp.
