‘pouring jug’, 2010

dutch-belgian design duo studio job‘s ‘pouring jug’ is a gigantic bronze vessel in which ‘black crystals’ are being poured from. the piece is made from polished and patinated bronze and measures 320 x 300 x 410 cm in size. originally developed in 2008, this bronze edition was conceived this year.

‘pouring jug’ is currently on show as part of ‘sotheby’s at sudeley castle‘, an outdoor exhibition held at sudeley castle, gloucestershire. it includes twenty-five unique or limited-edition works of contemporary design. through diverse and innovative reinterpretations of traditional functionality, the artists challenge popular perceptions of everyday objects. the show runs until august 1st, 2010.
