studio juju at salone satellite 2011

the work of singapore-based designers studio juju, timo wong and priscilla lui, aims to provide an extra sensitivity to human interactions with a bit of delight both in the aesthetic principles of design and their functional innovations. the hands-on approach comes through in the way people touch and interact with the products they create. on display at milan design week 2011 in the salone satellite location are new products made from a balance of metal and wood.

the ‘wobble’ series of containers are lathed maple with painted aluminum tops. slightly uneven on the bottom surface, the containers wobble a little when one puts their finger in to reach for small objects. available in two sizes, small: 120mm in diameter by 62mm tall and large: 160mm by 95mm.

studio juju has received the design miami/basel & the W hotels ‘designers of the future award 2011’ that recognizes young, emerging designers whose work reflects exceptional innovation and beauty in limited-edition design.
