product design studio mango and luggage brand princess traveler reveal their red dot award-winning product — a so-called ‘safety handle’. the invention is a small case hidden in an extendable travel trolley handle in which the documents can be conveniently stored.
after studio mango’s founder paul hendrikx experienced troubles with keeping his documents safe in the airport, he came up with a way of storing his passport and tickets in a hidden place integrated into his suitcase. having the idea sketched, he brought the drawing back to the studio and presented it to princess traveler which loved the project and developed it together with the designers.
