Its to grow pot and keep the sun cycles right.
420gold, I would believe those are a little bit too small to grow bud in. Try an Aerogarden if you truly want a kitschy pot to grow your “herbs” in.
The lightpot comes with a telescopic arm. This is so that the lightpot could “grow” with the plant.
Therefore, at first when you buy the lightpot with only seeds in it, it is closed like a kind of Pandora box.
You are the one to open it and with that gesture, start the ‘journey’ of the plant.

“Pot” grows to a height of ~6′. How the hell are you going to grow it in that?
Furthermore, to grow “pot” you need heat as well as light.
