new york-based designer takeshi miyakawa has completed the prototype for his ‘red eclipse’ table. this limited edition (10) coffee table appears as a complete japanese flag at first glance but up close, the center red circle is an empty hole symbolizing ‘the energy of the earthquake and the loss of so many souls’ explains miyakawa.
