landscape lighting peg inspires Sukchulmok Studio’s stool design

Sukchulmok Studio presents chul-02, a stainless steel cone stool inspired by the peg used in landscape lighting, featuring three conical shapes leaning on one another to provide flexible use. The stool’s joints allow it to tilt for stability on hard surfaces or stand upright when pressed into the ground. The joint design, adapted from Jean-Michel Wilmotte’s MIDLAND Table, improves the stability and usability of the stool. The versatile system stool can be used in multiple settings, while its conical shapes provide chul-02 with a unique shape. The partnership with OBJECT LEUCI, in joint structure consulting and fabrication, was essential for the versatile design of the stool.

chul-02 leads a whole furniture series of various materials

Following chul-02, Sukchulmok Studio plans to present a series of furniture pieces crafted from steel, wood, and stone, showcasing their commitment to combining materials. Each piece is designed with attention to detail and functionality, reflecting the Korea-based studio’s design philosophy. This series aims to explore the dynamic interplay between materials and form, offering furniture that adapts to different settings.
