in preparation of the new burger launch for ‘TGI fridays’ american illustrator scott biersack has created these large scale chalk-lettering illustrations. wanting to emulate the handcrafted, delicate touch that goes into preparing one of their many burgers, the three colorful pieces display what each burger consists of, as well as bringing a ‘hand-made’ feel to them. each illustration was drawn at a large-scale size onto a handmade chalkboard wall in his apartment.

  • I was up for this job, had it until I had to pull of for another larger job that was more creative. A lot of folks forget how much and artist’s hands can be tied when doing these projects. They came to me with the finished design, what you are showing here, they had already done the layout, all that was needed was to convert it to chalk. So there’s not much artistry involved when the agency does all the work and just needs someone to convert it to the medium they want to use.
