organized by the german design council, the ICONIC AWARDS 2022: innovative interior honor the most inspiring ideas in the furnishing industry. the competition platform is open for entries from all areas of interior design including bathroom and wellness, office and workspace, building equipment, kitchen and household, lighting, furniture, outdoor products, textiles and wall, floor and ceiling. as smart and individual solutions for more eco-friendly lifestyles become integrated within the market, projects that are proactively shaping sustainability are encouraged.

sustainable strategies & solutions

for 2022 , the ICONIC AWARDS are extended with two special categories: ‘sustainable solution of the year’ and ‘innovation of the year’. the first revolves the project that follows an exemplary consideration for sustainable strategies from the production to the implementation phase, whilst the latter regards an award for a novel solution approach, whether that is a final product or a process. nominations are made by the international expert jury and representatives of the specialist media.

cradle ‘nido’ is designed to provide protection through timeless, highly sustainable knitted manufacturing.

rug ‘OOAK’ or ‘one of a kind’ is made of 100% genuine silk from the cocoon of a silk spinner while dyed according to the centuries-old pot-dyeing process using verified dyes.
