the north face geodome 4 tent is a modern day camping masterpiece

embodying the principle of ‘do more with less’, the north face ‘geodome 4’ tent comfortably accommodates four occupants in its unique form, while toughing out japan’s most harshest weather. although seemingly being a complicated shape, the structure can actually be assembled easily with only five main and one equator poles. as such, campers can effortlessly carry and store the 11.07 kg weighing package.

developed in japan, the north face ‘geodome 4’ tent has an inner lining that is of a unique structure and configuration. its form creates an excellent cabin attitude that provokes feelings of a residential room, as occupants can stand up in its high ceiling level. the design’s shape actually builds upon an historic masterpiece – the ‘2-meter dome’. this tent was recently showcased at the 40 anniversary exhibition held by the north face in tokyo, japan.

its floor size, which is 230 x 218 cm, fits four campers and offers a height of 210 cm for people to stand up in

the geodesic tent’s structure adopts a spherical shape more than a hemispherical one

  • Soon to replace the Airstream as a ‘classic’ — not ‘xactly, but is clearly a great design.

  • An appropriate description for the last photo would be something like: suspended poles are used to tension large areas of the tent…
