developed for use in small homes, the ‘desk s 1200’ by thonet draws reference from the company’s previous collection of classic bauhaus furniture to help to save space. a compact tubular steel frame forms the structure of the S 1200, allowing its ergonomic slanted shape to be integrated into the smallest of living areas. optional accessories provide users artifacts to keep things around the desk properly organized: a metal panel serves as a multi-functional bookrest or magnetic memo board and a cover for the compartment can be used as a pad for tablets. magazines, letters and pens can also disappear into practical protective sheet metal storage boxes.
