time & style pays homage to japanese heritage and craftsmanship

Time & Style, a Japanese interior brand renowned for its commitment to design and handicrafts rooted in various parts of Japan, announces its upcoming exhibition in Kyoto in November 2023. With a long-standing portfolio of furniture, lighting, and tableware production, the brand’s creations reflect a dedication to traditional craftsmanship across various parts of Japan, including their own factory, Time & Style Factory in Asahikawa, Hokkaido. This year, its journey to celebrate Japanese heritage continues, inviting visitors to embrace the intersection of tradition and contemporary design in a traditional machiya structure in the heart of Kyoto.

the exhibition takes over a traditional machiya from 1919

In previous years, the Time & Style exhibition has been a platform to share their products and spaces beyond Tokyo, reaching cities such as Nagoya, Fukuoka, Kanazawa, and Sendai. The culmination of this series for the year is set to take place in Kyoto, where original furniture, tableware, and exclusive editions by the Japanese brand will be showcased in a Taisho period (1919) machiya house — a historical building with a distinct presence in Kyoto.

The exhibition promises a unique experience as visitors will be able to immerse themselves in the fusion of the dignified atmosphere emanating from the products and the timeless charm of the Kyoto machiya, as they learn about Time & Style’s commitment to craftsmanship and its ongoing initiatives.
