luca nichetto’s UNIMATIC watch features ‘windows’ 

UNIMATIC teams up with Luca Nichetto’s studio to create a watch with multicolor windows that tell the hours. Named Modello Cinque U5S-NS, the model draws from children’s calendars, where color is often used to mark the days. The concept appears on the dial of the watch, as the usual date aperture is now replaced by four separate and distinct-shaped windows. In a way, they’re the abstracted and exploded version of Nichetto Studio’s ‘N’ logo.

The dial itself is finished in a cool grey grainé texture, with matching trims and logos to maintain a consistent tone. The colored windows add contrast, and surrounding the dial is an engraved rehaut with five-minute markers. Time is indicated in Luca Nichetto’s watch with UNIMATIC using brushed stainless steel phantom hour and minute hands. A matte black reverse lollipop seconds hand contributes a small graphic accent and helps track movement at a glance.

sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating protects the dial

The release of Modello Cinque U5S-NS marks Nichetto Studio’s first venture into watch design and its inaugural piece in UNIMATIC’s Nichecraft Capsule Collection, the latter being a series created with brands. The model is housed in UNIMATIC’s Modello Cinque case and crafted from sandblasted stainless steel. The case has a slim profile, and a double-domed sapphire crystal with an internal anti-reflective coating protects the dial. UNIMATIC and Luca Nichetto’s studio also brings a screw-down crown and a screwed-in caseback engraved with a custom UNIMATIC x Nichetto Color Wheel motif to the watch.

Inside, the accessory is powered by the Swiss automatic Sellita SW200-1 movement. The accessory is fitted with a black padded deer leather strap with curved lugs, top stitching, quick-release spring bars, and sandblasted stainless steel hardware, signed by UNIMATIC, completing the strap. Each watch is delivered in a co-branded UNIMATIC x Nichetto protective case and includes a warranty card with a unique identification seal. Produced in a numbered limited edition of just 30 pieces, the Modello Cinque U5S-NS comes out on February 2nd, 2026, marking the official debut of the Nichecraft Capsule Collection.
